Life...

In April, Maya Angelou was interviewed by Oprah on her 70+ birthday.

Oprah asked her what she thought of growing older. And, there on television, she said it was "exciting." Regarding body changes, she said there were many, occurring every day...like her breasts. They seem to be in a race to see which will reach her waist, first. The audience laughed so hard they cried.

Maya Angelou said this:

"I've learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow."
"I've learned that you can tell a lot about a person by the way he/she handles these three things: a rainy day, lost luggage, and tangled Christmas tree lights."
"I've learned that regardless of your relationship with your parents, you'll miss them when they're gone from your life."

Into The Wild by Jon Krakauer

I'm reading a fascinating and enthralling book now, called Into the Wild. I can't put it down!!! I really admire the author's writing. Very vivid yet delivered in a sort of newsy way, with an exceptional use of a great array of words.

It's inspiring me to hike the entire Appalachian Trail...

PostSecret

The link below is to a very unique blog. A man in Germantown left a bunch of postcards on trains, in library books, and other places people would see one, pick it up, and write a secret of theirs on it to send in. He gets thousands a week now, and posts the best ones on here. It's a fascinating blog.
